The Diggs-Kraus Sickle Cell and Social Services Foundation is the charitable, non-profit, 501(C) 3 organization was founded in 2008 by Trevor K. Thompson and Cherry Whitehead-Thompson. The foundation was named after Dr. Lemuel Diggs and Drs. Fred and Lorraine Kraus, leading pioneers in Sickle Cell research. The Foundation operates for the benefit of individuals living with Sickle Cell Disease in the Mid South community. Additionally, the foundation provides educational services to the community.
